A personal assistant (PA) is a person chosen and employed to help someone with support in a way that suits them best. Using their personal budget, a person can employ a PA to provide support, such as cooking, cleaning, help with personal care like washing and using the toilet, driving, or help with shopping, banking or paying bills.
